This skill should be used when the user says "save checkpoint", "checkpoint", "continue", "resume", "resume work", "save my progress", "clear checkpoint", or "clear all checkpoints". Saves and resumes named session checkpoints to preserve progress across Claude Code sessions. Tracks accomplishments, failed approaches, and modified files. IMPORTANT: When the user says bare "continue" or "resume" at session start and MEMORY.md lists active checkpoints, always invoke this skill.
Mark a checkpoint in the current conversation — compact it into a durable handoff document so a fresh agent can resume the work without context loss. Use when the user wants to preserve session state for a later or parallel session — phrases like "hand this off", "write a handoff", "drop a wheypoint", "checkpoint this", "compact the conversation", "I'm running low on context", "save where we are for the next session", "prep a handoff for another agent", "/wheypoint". Use even when the user just says "wrap up" or "I need to clear context" mid-task. Do NOT use for per-phase pipeline handoffs — those belong to `/cook`, `/press`, `/age`, and `/cure`.
Save a concise handoff summary only when the user explicitly requests it. Use this for resumable progress notes in generic agent environments where a real session importer is not guaranteed.

Exit ritual for a work session. Use when the user invokes /checkpoint, says they are done for the day or leaving a project for a while, or accepts the wrap-up proposal armed by /lets-work. Routes each piece of understanding gained this session to its proper home — a code comment, the PR/commit message, or the personal journal — then records the visit marker the next /lets-work will brief from.
