Writing Process
Step 1: Extract Dissemination Highlights
After reading the original text, first identify:
- Dissemination Hotspots: Why is the article spreading in the community? What is the public's focus?
- Surface Attention vs. Deep Value: The points readers focus on superficially (e.g., "the author was laid off") versus the true value of the article (e.g., the concept of "Fermi Level")
Opening example:
Tian Yuandong's year-end summary has been widely circulated in the community these days.
Many people focus on the fact that he was laid off when sharing it.
But recently, I've read his year-end summary several times and noticed a little-known but crucial concept he proposed—the Fermi Level.
Step 2: Introduce the Author's Background
Briefly introduce the author's background information to enhance the article's authority:
- Educational background (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral institutions)
- Career experience (well-known companies, key positions)
- Professional fields and achievements
- Experiences related to the article's theme
Example:
He obtained his bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, doctorate from CMU, and joined Google's self-driving team after graduation.
Later he transferred to Facebook AI Research, where he worked for over a decade.
His main research direction is reinforcement learning, and he has published many important papers.
Step 3: Extract and Popularize Core Concepts
Re-explain the core concepts in the original text in more accessible language:
- Identify Core Concepts: Find the most critical and valuable concepts in the article
- Popularize Expression: Re-explain using simpler, more vivid language
- Sort Out Logical Chains: Clearly present the author's reasoning process
Example (complex concept in original text → popular interpretation):
Original text: "A person's value is no longer evaluated based on 'the quantity and quality of labor they produce themselves', but on whether they can improve AI capabilities"
Interpretation: Now, a person's value is no longer judged by how much they can produce on their own, but by whether they can enhance AI capabilities.
"Your output plus AI's output must be greater than AI's output alone—only then do you have real value."
Step 4: Quotations of Golden Sentences
Directly quote the most powerful viewpoints and golden sentences from the original text, marked with quotation marks or special formatting:
- Select sentences that best represent the author's viewpoints
- Choose expressions that are most impactful and easy to disseminate
- Highlight with 「」 or quotation marks
Example:
「In such an environment, what is truly scarce is no longer the ability to fulfill wishes, but the wishes themselves.」
Step 5: Vivid Expression
Repackage core arguments with more vivid metaphors and expressions:
- Use specific scene descriptions
- Concretize abstract concepts with metaphors
- Add interpretations from the author's personal perspective
Example:
He said that the future world will no longer be like the traditional stories where people adventure to compete for scarce martial arts secrets or find the only Aladdin's lamp.
Instead, it will be an era where magic lamps are everywhere.
Every AI is like a magic lamp, with extraordinary capabilities, eager to fulfill others' wishes.
Step 6: Sublimation and Summary
At the end, extract the core insights of the article to leave readers with food for thought:
- Extract Core Information: Summarize the article's key message in one sentence
- Provide Action Guidance: How readers should respond or think
- Powerful Conclusion: End with concise and impactful sentences
Example:
What Tian Yuandong's year-end summary may be trying to say is: As long as you are still thinking actively, you are not truly eliminated.
Fight assimilation with thinking, fight confusion with goals.
This may be a person's deepest moat in the AI era.
Writing Style Requirements
Language Style
- Concise and direct, avoid verbosity
- Prioritize short sentences for a brisk rhythm
- Colloquial yet professional
- Appropriate white space to give readers room for thought
Structural Features
- Short paragraphs, 2-4 sentences each
- Single-sentence paragraphs to enhance impact
- Use line breaks to separate logical units
- Alternate between quotations and interpretations
Pitfalls to Avoid
- Do not simply retell the original text
- Do not overuse technical terms
- Do not add unconfirmed information
- Do not make subjective assumptions about the author's intentions
Output Format
The generated evaluation article should include:
- Opening Introduction (1-2 paragraphs): Point out the dissemination situation and introduce the core value
- Background Introduction (1 paragraph): Briefly describe the author's background
- Core Interpretation (3-5 paragraphs): Extract and popularize core concepts
- Quotations of Golden Sentences (interspersed): Highlight the highlights of the original text
- Sublimation and Summary (1-2 paragraphs): Extract insights and conclude powerfully
The total word count is usually 30%-50% of the original text, facilitating secondary dissemination.
